The Consular Section at Embassy Bishkek is currently experiencing both high demand and a staffing shortage, which are affecting the processing of non-immigrant visa appointments. We urge all Kyrgyz travelers to the United States to apply for their non-immigrant visas at least six weeks prior to their planned departure, to minimize the possibility that their travel plans may be impacted. Applicants seeking emergency visa appointments should contact U.S. Embassy Bishkek at consularbishkek@state.gov for instructions. American Citizen Services and Immigrant Visa appointments are not affected.
