Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs David Hale spoke with Foreign Minister Chingiz Aidarbekov of the Kyrgyz Republic April 17 via phone from Washington, D.C. The Under Secretary and the Foreign Minister discussed joint cooperative efforts to address the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the public health, economy, and food security of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Central Asia region. They also discussed other ongoing bilateral issues.
