Bishkek – On June 5 and 6, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) will host an Agriculture Trade and Investment Forum to bring together 200 agricultural producers, entrepreneurs, government officials, and investors to help them build market linkages, explore investment opportunities and learn new ways to finance agricultural production.
We welcome media attendance at the opening ceremony which will take place on Tuesday, June 5, from 10:00 – 11:15 a.m. at Asanbay Center (21/11 Aaly Tokombaev St, Bishkek).
The forum will feature an exhibition of agricultural products, roundtable discussions, business-to-business meetings, a photo gallery, and short videos featuring major accomplishments of the USAID Agro Horizon project. The event will conclude with a graduation ceremony of youth interns in agriculture, an initiative that was launched by USAID to strengthen human capital in agriculture.
Attendees expected to attend the opening ceremony include Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Muhammedkaly Abylgaziev, Charge d’Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic Mr. Alan Meltzer, Minister of Economy Oleg Pankratov, Minister of Agriculture Nurbek Murashev.
